Caffes-Steele was awarded the contract from Pepco Energy to install new and superior windows to reduce energy costs, improve the aesthetics of the compound while also making the windows more operable. Classified as ‘blast-resistant’, these particular windows are also far superior in strength, contributing to an added sense of security on the base. Thus far, Caffes-Steele has installed approximately 1,500 windows, including a section of curtainwall on site. A number of facilities have already been completed, and Caffes-Steele anticipates getting more contracts to complete more work on the base in the near future.
